John comes to St. James after thirty years of full-time ministry in the Episcopal Church, most recently as Upper School Chaplain at St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, and earlier as Interim Dean of the Cathedral of All Souls in Asheville and Rector of The Falls Church Episcopal. A graduate of Wabash College with a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary, he is the author of Slaying Your Goliaths: How God Can Help.

Kasey has served St. James for more than five years, making sure everyone who walks through the door feels heard, valued, and welcomed. She came to parish work from operations management and twelve years in pharmaceutical sales, and holds a Spiritual Direction certification from Richmond Hill’s RUAH program. She and her husband Paul are raising three children.

A native of Ashland, Reggie holds a Bachelor of Music in Church Music from the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, with a major in organ. He performs frequently around Richmond, has been a featured recitalist at Washington National Cathedral, and has toured England several times. He is an active member of the American Guild of Organists and the Royal School of Church Music.

Miriam is a Board-Certified Music Therapist with more than ten years’ experience working with youth and adults. She holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Randolph-Macon College and a graduate certificate in Music Therapy from Shenandoah University, and sings in the St. James choir. She volunteers with the Virginia State Task Force on Music Therapy and Ashland Community Preschool.
